ZED RUN Metaverse Cup Challenges

We’re running a ZED RUN Metaverse Cup extravaganza, paying homage to the biggest sporting event in the world, and bringing some of the excitement to the racetracks.

ZED RUN Metaverse Cup Racetrack

As part of our event, we’ll have a special themed racetrack that will go live on November 16 UTC, coinciding with the reveal of the Metaverse Cup skins.

Interactive ZED RUN Metaverse Cup

The ZED RUN Metaverse Cup is interactive, meaning the outcomes of the real world competition will have an impact on the ZED RUN Metaverse Cup.
There are three key stages - the Group Stage, the Knockout Stage, and the Final. After the Group Stage, 16 of the 32 teams are knocked out of the competition, and of course after the Knockout Stage only two teams make it to the Final.
Your ZED RUN Metaverse Cup skin entitles you to compete in various challenges, but the further your team gets in the tournament in Qatar, the more challenges you can compete in. For example, if your team gets knocked out in the Group Stage, then you won’t be able to compete in the Knockout Stage challenge (unless you buy a new skin that is eligible of course).

Important Challenge Rules

Before we jump into the challenge details, let’s clarify a few key questions about how it’s all going to work.

Which races are counted towards the challenges?

For a race to count towards a challenge, it must fulfil the following criteria:
  • Your racehorse must be wearing a Metaverse Cup skin
  • All free races and 12-racehorse paid races will count towards the Metaverse Cup challenges
  • Points accrued in paid racing will count for double points during the Group Stage team challenge, and all three individual challenges (e.g. if finishing on the podium gets you one point in a free race, finishing on the podium in a paid race will get you two points)

Can the same team win both of the Group Stage challenges?

No, the same team can’t win both Group Stage challenges, so the priority will go to Group Stage Challenge #1 in the case of the same team winning both, meaning the second place team in Group Stage Challenge #2 would win.

Group Stage Challenge #1 - The ZED Token Team Podiums

These will be 12-horse races, with the other 10 spots filled with 'ghost' racehorses whose finishing positions won't be taken into account.
For each race, the racehorse with a Metaverse Cup skin that finishes first of the two will earn their team a point. The winning team is the team with the most points at the end of the 50 head-to-head races.

Prizes
