Tournament Schedule - Nov 20 - Dec 17
We’re making the following changes to the weekly tournament schedule:
- All Weekly Premier tournaments will be split into two
- Each week will feature Variance Tournaments and Sit & Go Tournaments
- The Variance Tournaments will use paid races for qualification
- The Sit & Go Tournaments will use Sit and Go races for qualification
- The Variance Tournaments will receive 70% of the total weekly prize pool
- The Sit & Go Tournaments will receive 30% of the total weekly prize pool
Note: The Maiden will remain the same as the previous 4-week schedule.
- Variance Tournaments will have <100, <250, <500 and unconditional segments
- The total weekly prize pool will be $50,000 USD
- The <500 Races Weekly Premier will be removed
- Variance Tournaments will therefore have <100, <250, and unconditional segments
- The unconditional tournaments will increase in size to accommodate the change
- $5,000 per week will be added to the total Maiden prize pool
- The total weekly prize pools will be $45,000 USD
- Very low engagement and volume in Class 1
- In other classes this segment sees a very high proportion of max level horses
- We’re removing it specifically in week two of the schedule to ensure players have over two weeks’ notice of this change
- We’ll evaluate the impact of this change throughout the four weeks
- As mentioned above we’ll be adding $5,000 per week to the Maiden prize pool
- Paid, 12-gate, Top 3 races
- Premier scoring
- Sum of best 10 races
- Fewest races tiebreaker
- Top 3 advance
- Top 3 payout
The Sit and Go lobby will remain unchanged. All Sit and Go races will count towards the Sit and Go Tournament qualification, including the level-segmented Sit and Go’s.
This means the only segmentation for the Sit and Go Tournament is by class, with one unconditional Sit and Go tournament per class.
- Sit and Go races (any format)
- Sit & Go Tournament scoring (3, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1)
- Sum of best 10 races
- Fewest races tiebreaker
- Top 6 advance
- Top 6 payout
